Dual USB IP67 Waterproof Cable

Overview

Dual USB IP67 waterproof cable with two moulded USB-A plugs on one end and an IP67 overmould on the other. The cable is supplied as a complete overmoulded assembly with a strain-relief boot and an internal O-ring seal that protects the contacts to IP67 when mated. Typical use is for outdoor USB charging, marine USB chargers and other wash-down USB applications.

Construction and Materials

Each USB leg has one 28 AWG twisted pair for the data lines (D+ / D-) individually foil-shielded and one 24 AWG pair for the 5 V power (V+ / GND), wrapped in an overall foil shield with drain wire. The jacket is a PVC or PUR compound. The USB-A ends are overmoulded with a TPE boot and an internal O-ring seal that protects the contacts to IP67 when mated.

Compatibility and Fitment

Mates with any standard USB-A receptacle. The IP67 sealing only engages when mated with a matching IP67 receptacle. For higher power up to 3 A per port, use the 22 AWG power variant.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Power wire gauge, length, jacket material and colour, label print and connector orientation are configurable. New overmoulds carry a mould fee. Sample 7 to 10 working days, production 15 to 20 working days.

Packaging and Shipping

Each cable individually PE-bagged and packed in a brown box. 100 pcs per export carton.

Quality and Compliance

Sealing tested to IP67 at 1 m for 30 minutes. USB 2.0 data pair tested for 90 ohm differential impedance. RoHS 2.0 and REACH compliance on file. Ingress protection is rated per <a href=”https://www.iec.ch” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>IEC 60529</a>; the IP code quoted for each build is the rating the moulded assembly is built to, verified on the mating pair.
