We are based in Longgang, Shenzhen, and we specialize in the part of the cable business most suppliers subcontract: designing and building the tooling, then running the assembly on it.

Our team is based in Longgang, Shenzhen, inside the Pearl River Delta component supply chain, with same-day access to connector, cable and molding material suppliers, and road access to Shenzhen port. That is why a material substitution or a tooling modification is measured in days here.

What we make — and what we do not
Two lists, because the second one saves everybody time.
What we build
- Custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses to your drawing, BOM or sample.
- Overmolded and insert-molded connectors, including strain relief and sealing geometry.
- M8 and M12 circular cordsets, Ethernet patch cords and OBD2 automotive leads.
- Audio, DIN, power and multi-branch harness builds, 32–12 AWG.
What we do not do
- Single-piece retail orders — production starts at 500 pcs per part number.
- PCB assembly, box build or full device manufacturing.
- RF or antenna design.
- Stock distribution of other brands’ catalogs.
Saying where we stop is not modesty. It is the reason the quote you get is the quote we can hold: everything above is built on the four lines in our own facility, with tooling cut in our own mold shop.

When was HK Wire Cable founded?
2012, in Longgang, Shenzhen. The company has grown around custom cable assembly, overmold tooling and the engineering work behind repeat production — the company history explains that in more detail.
Do you sell stock cables, or only custom builds?
Custom is the core of the business, and we also supply standard specifications — Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A patch cords, M8 and M12 cordsets — when a program needs them alongside a custom assembly. Both run through the same electrical verification before release.
Can you work from a sample if I have no drawing?
Yes. Send one sample and we will measure the interface, map the pinout and return a drawing for approval before anything is quoted — see sample reverse engineering.
Who owns the tooling, and where is the work done?
You own the tooling. It is designed, cut and maintained in our own mold shop in Longgang, and it is never used for another customer’s program.
