Terms and Conditions of Sale

These terms apply to every quotation, order, sample request and first-article request made to Shenzhen Hongkong Wire Cable Co., Ltd. (“HKWIRE”, “we”, “us”) for cable assemblies, wire harnesses, molded cable assemblies and related parts. Last updated 15 September 2026.

1. Scope

A contract is formed when we accept your order in writing. These terms form part of that contract. Any term in your own purchase order that conflicts with these terms applies only if we have agreed to it in writing.

2. Quotations and orders

A quotation is an invitation to order, not an offer, and is valid for the period stated on it — or for 30 days where no period is stated. Prices assume the quantities, tolerances and test requirements stated in the quotation. A change to any of these may change the price and the lead time, and we will tell you before we proceed.

3. Drawings, specifications and build to print

Where you supply a drawing or specification, we build to it as supplied. Where you ask us to design or to complete a design, we will confirm the specification in writing before tooling or production starts. It is your responsibility to confirm that the specification is fit for the intended application, including any regulatory requirement of the market where the product will be sold.

4. Tooling and molds

Tooling, molds, jigs and test fixtures paid for by you remain your property and are used only for your parts, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Tooling we fund ourselves remains ours. We maintain production tooling in working condition for as long as you place orders for the part.

5. Price, payment and taxes

Prices are as stated in the quotation and exclude freight, insurance, duties and taxes unless we say otherwise in writing. Payment terms are stated on the quotation. We may require payment in advance for a first order or for a custom tooled part. Late amounts may accrue interest at the rate permitted by law.

6. Minimum order quantity and lead time

Minimum order quantities and lead times are stated per quotation and vary with construction, connector availability and whether tooling is required. A lead time runs from the date we receive your order and, where applicable, your approved drawing and deposit — not from the date of first enquiry.

7. Inspection, acceptance and first article

We inspect to the criteria agreed in the order. Where a first article or approval sample is required, production does not start until you have approved it in writing. Tell us of any non-conformance within 30 days of delivery, with the quantity, the part reference and the evidence; after that period the goods are accepted.

8. Warranty

We warrant that goods conform to the specification agreed in the order for 12 months from delivery, or for the period stated in the quotation if different. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, storage outside the stated conditions, or modification by anyone other than us. It is your only remedy for non-conformance, and we will at our option repair, replace or credit the non-conforming goods.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost production, lost profit or a recall, whether or not we were advised of it. Our total liability arising out of an order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Confidentiality and intellectual property

Drawings, specifications, samples and other material you send us are treated as confidential and are not disclosed to third parties except to suppliers who need them to produce your parts, and only under equivalent obligations. Your designs remain yours. Our own process knowledge, tooling designs and manufacturing methods remain ours.

11. Product compliance

Where a quotation names a standard, rating or test, we supply the supporting document — test report, material declaration or UL Yellow Card reference — with the shipment or on request. Nothing on this website certifies a specific product. A compliance statement applies only to the part and the build named in your order documents, and only where the document we supply says so.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for a delay or failure caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including a shortage of raw material or components, an energy or transport disruption, an epidemic control measure, or an act of government. We will tell you as soon as we can and will resume performance as soon as the event allows.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. The parties will try to settle any dispute by discussion; failing that, it is submitted to the courts of Shenzhen, unless the parties have agreed in writing to arbitration.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in force on the day we accept it, and we will supply it on request.
