Overview

Datamax 210267 RJ11 plus USB barcode scanner cable. The Datamax 210267 is the combined RJ11 (6P4C) and USB scanner plug used on Datamax-O’Neil barcode scanners; the RJ11 carries the legacy keyboard wedge or RS-232 data, and the USB plug carries the USB HID data plus 5V power. The cable is wired to the customer-specified pin-out and length.

Construction and Materials

One 28 AWG twisted pair for the USB data lines (D+ / D-) individually foil-shielded, one 24 AWG pair for the 5 V power (V+ / GND), plus 2 to 4 signal lines for the RJ11 RS-232 or keyboard wedge, all wrapped in an overall foil shield with drain wire. The jacket is a PVC compound. The Datamax end is the combined RJ11 6P4C plus USB-A scanner plug; the host end is USB-A and PS/2 or DB9.
