Coiled Retractable Cable for Instruments and Tools

Overview

Coiled retractable cable for instruments, tools and small DC appliances. The cable is supplied as a complete overmoulded assembly with a strain-relief boot at each end and wound into a retractable coil with a 1:5 to 1:10 stretch ratio depending on the variant. Typical use is the curly cord between an instrument and its amplifier, a tool and its power source, or a small DC appliance and its wall adapter.

Construction and Materials

Two to four 26 AWG to 20 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors, PVC or rubber jacket. The cable is wound into a retractable coil with a 1:5 to 1:10 stretch ratio. The connector ends are over-moulded with a strain-relief boot. The cable is supplied continuity and hipot tested.

Compatibility and Fitment

Compatible with standard TRRS, DC barrel, USB and custom receptacles. Pin-out is straight-through by default; reverse or custom pin-out on request. The cable is a passive assembly and the final regulatory clearance rests with the connected host equipment.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Conductor count and gauge, connector type, coil stretch ratio, length (relaxed and extended), jacket material and colour and label print are configurable. New connector overmoulds carry a mould fee. Sample 7 to 10 working days, production 15 to 20 working days.

Packaging and Shipping

Each cable individually PE-bagged and packed in a brown box. 100 pcs per export carton.

Quality and Compliance

Cable assembly continuity and hipot tested. Coil tested for 50,000 stretch cycles minimum. RoHS 2.0 and REACH compliance on file. Final regulatory clearance depends on the configured connectors.
