Nurse Call 2-Key Button Cable with Silicon Coil

Overview

Nurse call 2-key button cable with a silicon coil cord. The cable is supplied as a complete overmoulded assembly with a 2-key patient-side call button on one end and the 6P4C (RJ14-style) plug on the head-end. The silicon coil cord stretches so the patient can reach the call button without unplugging.

Construction and Materials

Two or four 26 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors inside a silicon outer coil cord with a 1:5 stretch ratio. The 6P4C end is a moulded plug; the button end is a 2-key call button with a custom overmould. The cable is supplied continuity and hipot tested.

Compatibility and Fitment

Compatible with the 6P4C (RJ14-style) nurse call jack common on hospital bed heads and wall plates. Pin-out depends on the nurse call system – provide the bed head or wall plate make and model at order. The cable is a passive assembly and is not a medical device; the connected call button and host system carry the regulatory clearance.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Pin count, coil stretch ratio, length (relaxed and extended), jacket colour, label print and button overmould are configurable. New button overmoulds carry a mould fee. Sample 7 to 10 working days, production 15 to 20 working days.

Packaging and Shipping

Each cable individually PE-bagged and packed in a brown box. 50 pcs per export carton.

Quality and Compliance

Cable assembly continuity and hipot tested. Coil tested for 50,000 stretch cycles minimum. RoHS 2.0 and REACH compliance on file. The cable is a passive assembly and is not a medical device; final regulatory clearance rests with the connected host system. Ingress protection is rated per <a href=”https://www.iec.ch” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>IEC 60529</a>; the IP code quoted for each build is the rating the moulded assembly is built to, verified on the mating pair.
