IP67 RJ45 Screw-Lock Bulkhead Cable (Threaded Coupling, Panel Mount, Dust Cap)
IP67 RJ45 Screw-Lock Bulkhead Cable Threaded Coupling Panel Mount with Dust Cap, A panel feed-through that carries an RJ45 port through an enclosure wall and seals the opening to IP67. The bulkhead socket clamps to the panel with a threaded coupling nut and a silicone gasket, and it ships with a dust cap so the opening stays sealed when nothing is plugged in. This is the part you fit to an outdoor cabinet, a food-area enclosure that gets hosed down, a machine housing or a vehicle body when the Ethernet connection has to survive the environment outside the box.

Construction and Materials
The bulkhead socket has a threaded coupling shell that pulls the panel gasket down against the enclosure face, so the seal does not rely on the fixing screws alone. Behind the socket the termination is potted with epoxy to stop moisture tracking along the wires into the enclosure. Shells are offered in PA66 nylon for general use and in zinc alloy where the panel takes knocks. The rear of the socket is supplied either as a solder pad field termination or as a factory-moulded pigtail to a male RJ45 plug, which removes a failure point from the assembly.
Typical Applications
- Outdoor cabinets, junction boxes and street-side enclosures that need one Ethernet port through the wall.
- IP security camera and wireless access point installations where the cable enters a building or a pole box.
- Food and beverage and wash-down areas where panels are hosed regularly.
- Marine, coastal and transport installations exposed to salt spray and driving rain.
- Machine tool enclosures where coolant and swarf would destroy an unsealed connector.
Compatibility and Fitment
The bulkhead accepts a standard RJ45 plug on the outside and presents an RJ45 interface on the inside, so nothing special is needed on either side of the panel. Category and shielding are selected per build – Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A, unshielded or S/FTP – to match the channel it sits in. Pair the outside connection with a screw-lock plug if the cable is also subject to vibration, and always fit the dust cap when the port is unused: the IP67 rating applies in both the mated and the capped condition.
Custom Builds and Ordering
Length, jacket material, thumbscrew thread (4-40 UNC or M3), plug orientation and exit direction are all configurable. Common builds are listed in the attributes table above; everything else can be specified when requesting a quote. We do not publish a fixed list price because most screw-lock assemblies are quoted to a specific build. Lead time depends on length, quantity and connector tooling.
Packaging and Shipping
Each cable is individually bagged and labelled with part description, length and lot code. Bulk packaging is used for OEM volume orders. Shipments leave our facility within the lead time confirmed on the order acknowledgement.
Quality and Compliance
The 8P8C modular interface follows the IEC 60603-7 series. Channel performance is specified to ISO/IEC 11801 Class EA and TIA-568.2-D Category 6A, with 10GBASE-T defined by IEEE 802.3an and Power over Ethernet by IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt. Sealed bulkhead builds are rated to IP67 per IEC 60529 in both the mated and capped condition. Material and compliance documentation (UL, CE, RoHS, REACH) is provided per build on request; figures that depend on a specific construction are stated on the build drawing rather than generalised here.
