Circular M-Series Cable Assemblies

Round connector leads for industrial sensor and actuator wiring, covering A-coded M8 in 3 to 6 pin and A-coded M12 in 3 to 8 pin, straight or right-angle, with PVC, PUR or TPU jackets. Sealed to IP65–IP67 when mated and built to IEC 61076-2-101 (M12) and IEC 61076-2-104 (M8). The range also extends past M8 and M12 to M5 miniature sensor cordsets, M16 sensor and actuator builds, M20 locking power and signal leads and M23 encoder feedback and servo power assemblies. Pin count, length, orientation, jacket and shielding are set per order.

M12 T-Code Power Cable, 12 A / 60 V DC, 4-Pin, IP67

This m12 t-code power cable completes our M12 power family: the T-coded 4-pin layout carries 12 A at 60 V DC, the rating class that fieldbus power drops, DC drive feeds and PoDL powered devices specify.

M12 X-Code Cat6A to RJ45 Shielded Industrial Ethernet Cable

This M12 x code cat6a cable carries all four pairs at 10 Gbit/s from a sealed X-coded device port to a shielded RJ45 in the cabinet. IEC 61076-2-109, Cat6A S/FTP 26 AWG, IP67 on the circular end, halogen-free PUR jacket, built to your length.

M12 X-Coded Cat6A Cable to RJ45 for Machine Vision

An M12 X-coded Cat6A cable to RJ45 carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet from an IP67 camera or AGV back to a standard switch port. Push-pull shell, four shielded pairs, 360 degree screen, halogen-free PUR jacket.

M12 Y-Coded Hybrid Cable for Power and Fast Ethernet

An M12 Y-coded hybrid cable puts four power conductors and two 100 ohm Ethernet pairs in one 8-position shell, so a cobot joint or AMR cluster needs one cable instead of two. Built to the pinout, jacket and length on your drawing.

M16 DC Push-Pull Quick-Lock Cable, 4-Pin, IP67

This m16 push pull quick lock cable brings tool-free DC power connection to the M16 platform: four contacts, a latched push-pull shell and a sealed mating face, so LED drivers, sensing nodes and battery packs connect in one press.

M16 Sensor Actuator Cordset, 2+3 to 14-Pin Hybrid

An M16 sensor actuator cordset is the size you reach for when M12 runs out of pins: an M16 x 0.75 screw-lock shell standardized in IEC 61076-2-106 that carries up to 14 contacts, or a true 300 V / 8 A power bundle, in a footprint still smaller than M23. Straight and right-angle, shielded or not.

M20 8-Pin Power Signal Cable, 3+5 Hybrid Industrial Cordset

An M20 8-pin power cable that carries signal too: three contacts at power cross-section, five at signal, one sealed shell, one panel cutout. Sealed builds reach IP68 class - a meter for thirty minutes - across a -40 to +105 C service window.

M20 8-Pin Stage Lighting Cable for LED Display Cabinets

An M20 stage lighting cable is built around the rhythm of rigging life: strike Friday, load-out in the rain, road case overnight, re-strike Monday. The male-to-female extension chains power and data across LED cabinets with one 3+5 hybrid connector, mated to IP67 and rated for thousands of cycles.

M23 16+3 Hybrid Servo Cable, Power + Signal, IP67

This m23 hybrid servo cable carries power and feedback in one connector: the hybrid insert combines sixteen power contacts with three signal contacts, so a servo motor gets its drive current and its encoder signals through a single sealed cable run.

M23 17-Pin Encoder Feedback Cable, IP67

This m23 17-pin encoder cable carries the highest-count insert in our M23 feedback range: seventeen signal contacts in a shielded, screw-coupled shell for absolute encoders and multi-turn feedback units on demanding servo axes.

M23 Encoder Feedback Cable, 12-Pin and 17-Pin Servo Cordset

An M23 encoder cable is the quiet half of every servo axis: it carries encoder, resolver and winding-temperature signals from the motor back to the drive, through a 360-degree shield that keeps millivolt feedback legible next to a motor switching hundreds of volts. 12-pin to DB9 drive-end builds are our most common configuration.

M5 3-Pin Sensor Cordset for Micro Sensors

An M5 3-pin sensor cordset is the one connector in the metric family that can disappear entirely behind a sensor head: a 5 mm thread, three gold-plated contacts rated 1 A at 60 V, and an overmold small enough to clear a 10 mm mounting hole. Straight or right-angle, PVC or PUR, any length.

Specification table

Every cordset below is assembled after the order is placed, so the specification is written backwards from your connector, your controller and the environment the cable runs through. If your pin count, cable chemistry or approval list is not in the table, it is still buildable unless the molding geometry forbids it, in which case you hear that before tooling starts.

Typical M8 and M12 circular cordset build options. Every assembly is made to order, so values outside this table are quoted rather than declined.

Mating hardware is compliant with IEC 61076-2-101 for M12 and IEC 61076-2-104 for M8; fieldbus and device-side behavior follows the relevant profile from IO-Link or PROFIBUS.

M8 or M12 — which thread fits the job

The two share the same insert family. The decision usually comes down to available panel space and how often the connection is made and broken.

Typical applications

  1. Sensor and actuator drops Discrete I/O wiring from the junction block to inductive, photo and pressure sensors, where the M12 nut is expected to survive thousands of service cycles.
  2. IO-Link and PROFINET Class A ports carrying both power and switched data on one four or five pin cordset rather than a separate power pair.
  3. Drag chain and robot dress-out High-flex TPU builds with put-up lengths tuned to the axis travel.
  4. Food, beverage and washdown Stainless coupling nuts and PUR or TPU jackets rated for daily caustic rinse.
  5. Machine vision M12 X-coded Cat6A leads feeding GigE Vision cameras on moving gantries.

Questions buyers ask

Which M12 coding should I specify?

A-coded carries sensor signals and is the most common by far. D-coded is for 100 Mbit Ethernet and PROFINET, X-coded is the Cat6A version used by GigE Vision cameras, and B-coded still appears on older PROFIBUS drops. K, S, T, L and M-coded are power variants with a different keyway so a signal plug cannot be forced into a power socket. The full code list is in our M12 coding guide.

Do you verify the IP rating on every unit?

Every mated pair is checked for shell seating and strain relief pull. Immersion and washdown claims are tested per construction during qualification, and we state which method was used rather than quoting a number with no test behind it. The practical differences are set out in our ingress rating guide.

Can I mix straight and right-angle ends on one cordset?

Yes, and that is the usual request. Give us the clocking angle if it matters, otherwise both plugs are molded in the same orientation with the molded bodies aligned when the cable lies flat.
