The push-pull latch removes the threaded ring entirely, which matters on service doors, light poles and battery compartments where a dropped coupling nut is more than an inconvenience.

Construction and Materials
The shells are overmolded onto round jacket with the latch collar as an integral part of the body, and a sealing O-ring sits in the mating face so the contact chamber stays protected while connected. The keyed shell prevents reversed insertion, and the contact layout carries a four-wire DC or signal mix without an open terminal in the circuit.
