Screw-Lock Molded Cable Assemblies

Vibration-proof cordsets that hold the connector mated with a threaded coupling instead of a friction latch, covering D-Sub DB9 / DB15 / DB25, M23 servo, GX16 aviation, VGA, DVI and locking USB-C. Sealed IP67 and panel-mount builds available; pinout and shell size set per order.

10BASE-T1L Screw Lock Cable with Sealed M8 or IEC 63171-6 Couplings

A 10BASE-T1L screw lock cable carries single pair Ethernet and power over the same two wires to a field device, with a threaded or bayonet metal coupling that holds on vibrating skids. Sealed M8 or IEC 63171-6, 1 to 20 m.

8K HDMI Screw Lock Cable Assembly, HDMI 2.1 48Gbps, M3 Panel Screws

An hdmi screw lock cable adds a pair of M3 thumb screws that pull the plug shell onto the device jack, so cable load sits on metal threads rather than on connector friction. HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps class, 1 to 5 m, with panel coupler.

Cat6A RJ45 Screw-Lock GigE Vision Cable (S/FTP, High-Flex PUR, Drag Chain)

A Cat6A RJ45 screw lock cable ends in an RJ45 plug carrying two thumbscrews instead of the usual plastic latch, so vibration and cable movement cannot work it loose. S/FTP shielding, high-flex PUR jacket, made for GigE Vision cameras and moving machine axes.

Cat6A RJ45 Screw-Lock Patch Cable, Both Ends Thumbscrew

An RJ45 screw lock patch cable with thumbscrew locking on both plugs turns an Ethernet drop into a mechanically fixed connection, which is what you want when the two devices do not sit still relative to each other. Shielded S/FTP build, PoE capable, made to your length.

Cat6A S/FTP GigE Vision Screw-lock Cable for Drag Chain, 26AWG High-Flex

A gige vision screwlock cable built for cameras that move: 26 AWG high-flex S/FTP conductors, PUR or high-flex PVC jacket, and captive thumb screws that hold the RJ45 plug against the threaded posts on the camera. Eight cable exit orientations.

Cat6A S/FTP M12 X-Code RJ45 Cable, Screw-Lock, 26AWG PUR Jacket

An M12 x-code rj45 cable that carries all four Ethernet pairs from a sealed 8-pin X-coded port on a camera or a robot wrist to a screw-lock RJ45 jack in the cabinet. 26 AWG S/FTP conductors, PUR jacket, IP67 on the circular side when mated.

Circular USB-C Screw Cable with Metal M12 Style Coupling

A circular usb-c screw cable puts a USB-C plug inside a round metal coupling that threads and seals the same way as the M12 connectors beside it, so one panel cut-out serves power, signal and USB. Shield bonded through the nut.

D-Sub Screw Lock Cable, DB9 DB15 DB25 Serial and I/O Cordset

A D-Sub screw lock cable holds a serial or I/O connection together with #4-40 jackscrews instead of contact friction. We mold it in DE-9, DA-15 and DB-25 shells, straight or right-angle, male or female, wired 1:1 or crossed to the pinout you send.

DB9 RS485 Screw Cable for Modbus RTU Multi-Drop Runs

A DB9 RS485 screw cable carries a Modbus RTU segment over one shielded twisted pair, with the shell clamped down so vibration cannot back the plug out of the device. Send us the pinout: DB9 serial assignments are not standardized between equipment vendors.

DC Screw Lock Cable with Threaded Retaining Collar Barrel Plug

A DC screw lock cable whose barrel plug carries a threaded retaining collar, so the plug clamps to a matching threaded jack instead of relying on contact friction. Built to the barrel diameter, pin bore, barrel length and polarity you specify.

DisplayPort Screw Lock Cable for Control Room and Kiosk Displays

A DisplayPort screw lock cable replaces the factory friction fit with two retaining screws, so a screen on an arm, a trolley or a kiosk cannot shake itself loose. Check the source device has threaded holes before you order.

DVI Screw Lock Cable, DVI-D and DVI-I for Legacy Industrial PCs

A DVI screw lock cable is built to the variant your ports actually have: DVI-D or DVI-I, single or dual link, with both jackscrews clamping into the panel threads. Photograph both ports and we match the contact population exactly.

Specification table

A friction-fit plug eventually walks out under vibration, and a cable that snags in a service aisle pulls out faster. These assemblies replace that retention with a mechanical lock: a thumbscrew into a panel receptacle, a jackscrew on a D-Sub shell, or a threaded collar on a circular connector.

Typical screw-lock molded cable build options. Every assembly is made to order, so values outside this table are quoted rather than declined.

Screw threads follow the ISO metric screw thread series; USB, HDMI and servo interfaces keep to their own governing specifications: USB-IF, HDMI and EMVA for vision interfaces.

Typical applications

  1. Machine vision Camera leads that cannot be pulled loose when the gantry accelerates.
  2. Servo drives M23 power plus feedback combinations built as one assembly.
  3. CNC and control panels Operator-facing ports that get plugged and unplugged daily.
  4. Kiosks and vending USB and serial leads held against casual pulling.
  5. Marine and offshore Stainless hardware and sealing gaskets for salt-laden air.

Questions buyers ask

Thumbscrew or latch-style Bow lock?

Thumbscrews take more cycles and hold against vibration, but need a threaded receptacle and take longer to fit. Latches are faster if the equipment supports them. The trade-off is set out in our comparison of screw-lock and latch-style connectors.

What do you need to quote an overmolded assembly?

Panel thickness and cutout, the mating receptacle, cable OD range, minimum bend radius and the flex expectation. Those five inputs drive the tooling shape and the strain relief length. See what engineers should define.

Is the IP67 claim valid on its own?

No. Sealing is a property of the mated pair, so we rate it against a named receptacle and gasket. Tell us what the cable plugs into, and we quote the assembly against that instead of a bare part.
