SJOW Coiled Power Cord 18-3 / 16-3

Overview

SJOW coiled power cord with 3 conductors (18-3 or 16-3) wound into a retractable coil. The cable is supplied as a complete assembly with moulded plug and connector ends, or with flying leads, depending on the application. SJOW is the junior hard-service cord with an oil-resistant thermoplastic jacket, suitable for light industrial and workshop use.

Construction and Materials

Three bare copper conductors at 18 AWG or 16 AWG, wrapped in an oil-resistant thermoplastic jacket. The cable is wound into a retractable coil with a 1:4 to 1:5 stretch ratio. The plug and connector ends are moulded, or flying leads with the customer’s specified terminals. The cable is supplied continuity and hipot tested.

Compatibility and Fitment

Compatible with standard 125 V / 250 V plugs and receptacles. Confirm the plug and receptacle type at order (US NEMA, EU Schuko, UK BS1363, etc.). The cable is a passive assembly and the final regulatory clearance rests with the connected host equipment.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Conductor size, coil stretch ratio, length (relaxed and extended), jacket colour, plug and receptacle type and label print are configurable. New plug and receptacle overmoulds carry a mould fee. Sample 7 to 10 working days, production 15 to 20 working days.

Packaging and Shipping

Each cable individually PE-bagged and packed in a brown box. 50 pcs per export carton.

Quality and Compliance

Cable assembly continuity and hipot tested. Jacket oil-resistant per SJOW rating. Coil tested for 50,000 stretch cycles minimum. RoHS 2.0 and REACH compliance on file. Final regulatory clearance depends on the configured plug and receptacle. Cordage construction follows the <a href=”https://www.iec.ch” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>IEC 60227</a> / <a href=”https://www.iec.ch” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>IEC 60245</a> flexible-cord families where cited, and USB-IF specifications where a USB plug is fitted.
