DC Waterproof Push-Pull Quick-Lock Cable

Overview

This dc push pull quick lock cable pairs a waterproof latched coupling with quick, one-hand DC mating: press the shells together, the lock engages, and the sealed joint shrugs off rain, washdown splash and dust on outdoor power runs.

Standard DC barrel connections rely on friction, and the first cable tug on a pole or gate finds that out. This quick-lock version latches positively and seals at the same time, so outdoor LED signage, gate cameras and battery feeds keep their connection through weather and vibration while still coming apart with one hand for service.

Construction and Materials

Both ends are overmolded with the latch mechanism fully enclosed, and the sealing interface keeps moisture out of the contact area while mated. The round jacket is flexible for routing along frames and poles, and the polarized shells prevent reversed polarity at the connection point.

The latch geometry is fully enclosed in the overmold, so grit and ice cannot jam the mechanism the way an exposed metal catch does. Polarity is fixed by the shell keying, and the cable entry is potted so strain lands on the molded body instead of on the crimp.

Typical Applications

Deploy it on outdoor LED strip and signage power, gate and barrier camera feeds, e-bike and cart battery connections, irrigation controls and any low-voltage DC run exposed to weather where a screw-on cap would slow every service visit.

It is also used on irrigation control cabinets, temporary event power and marina shore-side lighting, where a friction-fit barrel plug creeps loose over a season.

The coupling mates only with matching quick-lock counterparts; confirm the connector family on your device or pair it with our matching counterparts ordered together. Pin count and current rating are matched to your specification at order time.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Pin count, cable gauge, length and gender arrangement are produced to order. Share the load requirements and we will quote the assembly. Prototype and sample lots run from 1 to 50 pcs and ship in 3 working days; production orders start at 500 pcs per part number and ship 14 working days after approval, with new overmold tooling adding about 10 working days.

Quality and Compliance

Every assembly is continuity and polarity tested before packing, and the seal interface is inspected for full engagement. See the IEC 60529 IP code for the governing interface specification.

RoHS and REACH declarations are provided per project together with the agreed test reports; the documentation scope is listed under certifications and compliance. If your drawing specifies a UL style, we build to that drawing and supply the UL reference with the shipment instead of substituting an equivalent.
