Construction and Materials
Cat6 or Cat6A S/FTP construction with four individually foil-shielded pairs wrapped in an overall braid, drain wire included. The jacket is a halogen-free polyurethane compound rated for drag-chain use, with a matte black finish. The RJ45 plugs are ruggedised metal-bodied types with a thumbscrew locking boot and an internal O-ring seal that protects the IDC contacts to IP68 when mated with a matching receptacle.
Typical Applications
- Field-deployed military Ethernet networks
- Outdoor base camp and command post data drops
- Shipboard and shore-based tactical networks
- Industrial applications needing rugged IP68 RJ45 in a non-military environment
Compatibility and Fitment
Compatible with any standard RJ45 receptacle; the IP68 sealing only engages when mated with a matching ruggedised receptacle. Mates with the rugged Cat6 / Cat6A receptacles common on military and industrial equipment. Not compatible with the standard plastic RJ45 plug footprint unless the receptacle side is also ruggedised.
Custom Builds and Ordering
Cable category (Cat6 or Cat6A), length, jacket color, label print and connector orientation are configurable. Sample 10 to 15 working days, production 20 to 30 working days.
Packaging and Shipping
