Construction and Materials
Moulded HD15 male plug with thumbscrews on the source end, splitting into two moulded HD15 female sockets, also with thumbscrews. The splitter body is a compact black overmould. Coaxial cores carry the RGB lines to both female sockets, with shared sync and ground wiring inside a smooth black PVC outer jacket.
Typical Applications
Driving a presentation display and a confidence monitor from one PC, duplicating a control-room screen onto a wall-mounted display, or feeding a local monitor and a projector at the same time. Both displays must accept the same resolution and refresh rate.
Compatibility and Fitment
Standard VGA / SVGA / XGA analog video over HD15 sockets. The cable is passive, so the source PC’s video output drives both displays — if the displays have different optimum resolutions, set the source to the lower common resolution. For long runs to either output, use a VGA extension after the splitter rather than extending the splitter itself.
