Heart 2-Pin Magnetic Charging Cable

Overview

A two-pin magnetic charging cable with a heart-shape injection-moulded pogo-pin head. The asymmetric outline of the heart shape makes the polarity obvious to the user, so left and right earphones, wearables, or handheld devices are mated the correct way round even in low light. The magnetic coupling snaps the cable into the device-side tip and breaks away cleanly when pulled, reducing wear on the device port.

Construction and Materials

The cable uses 2 x 24 AWG tinned copper conductors with an aluminium foil shield plus drain wire, wrapped in a PVC jacket. The magnetic head is a custom ABS / PC blend injection-moulded housing holding two gold-plated pogo pins at the polarity preset at build time. A ferrite bead on the USB-A end suppresses conducted EMI on the data lines, and a strain-relief boot exits the head in line with the cable.

Compatibility and Fitment

Mates with any device-side tip wired to a 2-pin magnetic pogo layout with V+ on one side and GND on the other. Not intended for USB data transfer – the cable carries power only. For data + power, use a 4-pin magnetic tip.

Custom Builds and Ordering

Cable length, jacket colour, head colour, pin polarity and pin spacing are all configurable per inquiry. Custom mould fees apply for new head shapes or new device-side tip moulds. Typical sample lead time 7 to 10 working days after drawing approval.

Packaging and Shipping

Each cable packed in a PE bag, then an individual brown box. 100 pcs per export carton. Custom retail packaging available on request.

Quality and Compliance

Cable jacket tested to UL 758 style 2464 or equivalent. Magnetic head tested for mating cycle life at 10,000 cycles minimum. RoHS 2.0 and REACH compliance available on file. Final compliance depends on the configured jacket and plating specified at order. Charging and data behaviour follows the <a href=”https://www.usb.org/documents” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>USB-IF published specifications</a> for the USB 2.0 interface and the USB Type-C specification where a Type-C plug is fitted.
