Construction and Materials

Heavy-gauge single-colour rubber-jacketed lead with a ring terminal clamp crimped at each end. Both ends clamp, so the lead can be fitted between two batteries or between a battery and a chassis stud without any soldering.

Typical Applications

Used for battery-to-battery links in dual-battery vehicles, for negative-side chassis bonding where the existing strap has corroded, and for temporary power feeds during servicing when a battery is removed from the circuit.

Compatibility and Fitment

Supplied as a pre-cut assembly rather than a reel, so the length is fixed at order time. Confirm the required length against the actual routing before ordering, and allow slack for engine movement and vibration instead of measuring point to point. Check that the ring lug bore matches the stud or post diameter at both ends, and that the clamp jaw clears any terminal covers fitted to the battery.
