Most projects do not arrive as a finished drawing. They arrive as a mating connector and a problem, a sample that keeps failing, or a spec written before anyone checked what was manufacturable. Our job starts before the quote: turn whatever you have into an assembly definition that can be built repeatedly, at your volume.

The development sequence
Six stages. Each one has a defined output, so you always know what you are getting and what the next decision depends on.

Service — the record follows the part
Every stage should produce a useful next decision, and the record of it should stay with the assembly rather than with whoever sent the last email.
Commercial communication, technical clarification and production feedback are kept against the same assembly definition. When a repeat order arrives a year later, it is built to the requirements you approved — not to the ones someone happens to remember.
Interfaces, application conditions and acceptance needs are clarified before a price is given, so the quote reflects what you actually need.
Open points, sample feedback and approved changes are tracked in one place, with the reason recorded alongside the change.
Repeat orders and revisions stay tied to the controlled requirement set, so a rebuild matches the build you signed off.
What changes between prototype and production
A prototype that fits is not a design that repeats.
Before release we confirm four things: the process that made the sample is the process that will make the order; crimp tooling, mold and fixtures are production-intent rather than bench-made; inspection points that were checked once are documented as routine; and any dimension that was “close enough” at sample stage is either toleranced or fixed.
Skipping this conversation is how a perfect first article becomes a failed third batch.
Change control
- Every revision carries a reference tied to your part number.
- Changes to connector, cable, pinout, mold geometry or test scope are confirmed in writing before implementation — not after.
- Obsolete revisions are retained, so a repeat order in two years matches the two-year-old build, not the latest guess.
- Tooling is stored and maintained free of charge for 36 months after your last order; the tool itself is yours.
Drawings, IP and confidentiality
We sign mutual NDAs before receiving drawings — you do not have to send the file first and ask later. Tooling built against your paid development belongs to you. We do not sell your geometry to other customers, and we do not publish customer-identifying case studies without written approval.
That last point is worth stating plainly: if you are wondering why a custom cable supplier has no recognisable customer logos on its website, it is usually because their customers asked them not to. We will do the same for you.
