Frequently Asked Questions

The questions buyers ask before the first order, answered with the numbers we actually work to. If yours is not here, send it to us.

A. Ordering & commercial

What is your MOQ?

5 pcs for prototypes, 500 pcs for production. Because we build our own tooling and retain it under your part reference, repeat production runs do not need to be large to be economical.

What is your lead time?

Prototype 3 working days. Production 14 working days after sample approval. New tooling adds 10 working days from approved mold concept to T1 samples.

Do you charge for tooling?

Yes — tooling is quoted as a separate line item and the tool belongs to you. It is not hidden in the piece price, and there is no volume rebate to unwind. We retain and maintain it free of charge for 36 months after your last order.

Can you sign an NDA?

Yes — before we receive drawings. Send yours or use ours.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T bank transfer and PayPal. Terms for production orders are confirmed at quotation.

Do you provide samples?

Yes. Where we have stock or an existing tool for a comparable part, up to 2 samples are free — you cover the freight. Custom samples built to your drawing are charged at the prototype price.

B. Engineering & files

What file formats do you accept?

STEP / STP preferred. IGES, DWG and PDF are all accepted. A physical sample works too — we can reverse-engineer from a part.

I only have a sample, no drawing. Can you work from that?

Yes. Send the sample and we will measure, produce a drawing and confirm it with you before any tooling commitment.

Can you help finish an incomplete design?

Yes. DFM review is included with the quotation — you get the open questions in writing, before you commit to tooling.

Can you match an existing part number?

Send the part number or a sample. We will confirm interchangeability in writing, including any dimension or material that will not match.

What tolerances can you hold?

Cut length ±10 mm up to 1000 mm; above that, ±1–2% or per your drawing. Overmold and critical-to-function dimensions are held to your drawing and confirmed at quotation. We will also flag dimensions that are costing you money without adding function.

C. Materials & compliance

Can you supply RoHS / REACH compliant builds?

Yes. Declarations are provided per project, with material certificates traceable to the material lot.

Do you offer halogen-free or UL-rated cable?

Yes to both. Halogen-free jacket compounds and UL-rated cable are available — tell us which rating you need to meet and we will quote against it.

Which overmold materials do you use?

PVC, TPE, TPU, PP, PA and PUR for overmolding. Jacket compounds include PVC, PUR, TPE, silicone and halogen-free. Selection is driven by bond behaviour, flexibility and the environment, not by hardness alone.

Can you provide material certificates?

Yes, with traceability to the material lot, retained under your part reference.

D. Testing & quality

Do you test every unit?

Continuity and pinout, 100%. Insulation resistance, dielectric withstand, contact resistance, crimp pull force, flex, ingress protection and salt spray are performed to the agreed test scope — see Testing & Validation.

Can you provide an FAI report?

Yes, to your format. We do not claim PPAP submission — if your programme requires it, we will say so at quotation rather than at final inspection.

What if a batch fails my incoming inspection?

Send the inspection data and photographs. Where nonconformance is confirmed as ours, we rework or replace at our cost. Where there is a dispute, it is settled against the inspection criteria and sealed sample agreed in writing before production.

E. Logistics

What shipping terms do you support?

EXW, FOB Shenzhen and CIF. Tell us which you need and we will quote accordingly.

Can you drop-ship or kit to multiple locations?

Yes. Multiple ship-to addresses, kitting and custom labelling are supported — confirm the destination list at quotation.

Do you hold buffer stock?

For a limited set of repeat items, by prior agreement. It is not a general service, so ask us about your specific part.

How do you handle repeat orders years later?

Approved specifications and tooling are retained under your part reference, together with material lot references and process parameters. A reorder matches the original build.

One number we will not quote without

Flex cycles, IP ratings and salt-spray hours are only meaningful with the condition and the acceptance criterion stated. We publish ours on the Testing & Validation page, and we will not quote a flex-life figure without a motion profile.

Still have a question?

Send the drawing, the mating connector and the question. We will answer all three in one reply.
